Pivot To Remote Checklist: Guidance for Parents
Dear Parents:
In the event of severe weather or an emergency requiring a systemwide pivot, please follow the guidelines below to ensure safety and continuity.
- Families will receive an initial email alert to prepare for a systemwide pivot.
- By 12:00 p.m. the day before, the school will receive confirmation whether to prepare for remote learning, including device distribution if needed.
- Families will then be notified through email, text, and social media to ensure timely communication.
- Contact your teacher via Remind/Dojo/Google Classroom if you have any questions or need assistance.

Pivot To Remote Checklist: Guidance for Students
Sign into your Google Classroom at 8:00AM by logging into TeachHub using your DOE email address and password. (https://www.schools.nyc.gov/learning/digital-learning/applications-and-platforms/teachhub)
Attendance will be taken.
Follow your teacher’s schedule and assignments on Google Classroom.
Turn your camera on and mute your microphone while the teacher is teaching.
Have your books and materials ready and available.
Ask questions as you would in class if you do not understand.
Complete all of your assignments and bring them back to school with you upon our return.
