"Kindness is Beautiful"

On Wednesday and Thursday April 19th and 20th PS 204 Second Graders teamed up with the David Z. Foundation and Global Lighthouse Studios to record a music video for their original song "Kindness is Beautiful." Over the past three months, the second grade students along with Ms. Sarullo, have been working on writing the lyrics to our original song. After we wrote the lyrics, we designed, storyboarded and organized our music video for the song. On Wednesday April 19th, Daniel Roeder came to our school to record each class singing our song. On Thursday April 20th, we were joined by Teresa Hui (our guest singing artist and puppeteer), Paulie Z., and Donna Guerrin (from Global Lighthouse Studios) to make our music video come to life. Each class recorded a scene from our video as well as recorded the chorus. Along with each class recording their individual parts, the whole grade came together to record the chorus of the song, right in our very own school yard. The process was super exciting and I know we are all looking forward to seeing the final and finished product. Stay tuned for the date of our world premier!!
